ÉOLE FAUGÈRES RED

Grape varieties : Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre
Yield : 40 hl/Ha.
Soil type : Schistose hillside
Crop system : Ground tilled, compost added; planned disease and pest management; leaves trimmed and grapes thinned. Harvested when fully ripe.
Vinification : Vinified by grape variety from selected vineyards. Completely destemmed.
Long, temperature-controlled maceration.
Cellar work : Matured for a year: two thirds in new oak barrels, and one third in one-year-old barrels.
Wine-tasting
vintages 2002 :

Deep dress. Flavours of vanilla, smoke and spices. Soft and fresh attack, with notes of liquorice.
The tannins are powerful but will be based quickly. Beautiful length in mouth. Rich and elegant wine.
Potential of guard: 5 to 10 years.
To taste with rotis, leg, game.
